A terrific large thumbnail of dark green hexagonal Fluorapatite crystals enveloping a single cubic purple Fluorite crystal and all perched on a plate of acicular colourless Quartz crystals. The Fluorapatite forms rounded prisms with flat pinacoid terminations, their breadth often exceeding their height. The crystals are dark chrome-green and are opaque to semi-translucent with finely striated prism faces giving a silky texture and lustre. The enclosed purple fluorite cube is 5 mm on edge and nestles between a cluster of Fluorapatite crystals. The underlying Quartz crystals are semi-transparent and range from a few mm to 1.4 cm tall. An interesting combination of species from Kr'sno, a tin-tungsten deposit, in the Karlovy Vary Region of Bohemia in the Czech Republic.
