An impressive, 9.6 cm long, off-matrix Smoky quartz crystal from Horn' Slavkov in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. The Quartz has a consistent deep clove-brown colour and appears to be almost completely gemmy, with very good transparency despite its deep colour. The prism faces are glassy and lustrous, whereas the asymmetric termination is a mix of lustrous and semi-matt faces. There are a few small bruises at some edges of the termination, but the specimen remains very attractive and fine for display.
