Sharp cubic crystals of semi-transparent to translucent Fluorite cover a roughly 12 x 9 cm surface of hard limestone matrix from Hilton mine in Scordale, Cumbria. The crystals are pale to mid lemon yellow with reasonably gemmy edges grading to creamy-white frosted face centres and cores. The Fluorite crystals range up to 2 cm on edge and have a glassy to slightly greasy lustre. A great display piece of this habit of Fluorite from the renowned Hilton mine.
