Tucson, Arizona, USASharp, chisel-like blades of deep bottle-green Malachite form a rich coverage of pseudomorphs after Azurite on a grey sulphide matrix coated with granular, naturally etched cream and tan Dolomite. An area of earthy light Persian-blue Azurite within the matrix sits at the front, adding a nice contrast in colour. The Malachite pseudomorphed crystals are typically 1.5 cm wide and occasionally exceed 2 cm and have a mainly velvety texture with a matt to dull-silky lustre. A fine example of Malachite pseudomorphing Azurite.
