Malachite Pseudomorph After Azurite with Azurite$2,500.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
A fabulous cabinet specimen of beautifully crystallised glassy Azurite covers one half and silky Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite encrust the other. A Tsumeb classic, the Azurite forms thick tabular crystals of an intensely inky azure-blue, many up to 1 cm across and covering an area of roughly 6 x 3 cm. Occasional crystals are a little bruised, but generally they are perfect and spectacular. The Malachite replaces former Azurite crystals of similar size and morphology to those just described. The pseudomorphs are sharp, crisp and perfect, yet composed of an acicular Malachite in the form of micro-fine needles which shimmer, producing a wonderful silky texture and lustre. Infilling gaps and forming small patches, plumose crystals of milky striated Smithsonite add to the overall aesthetic. If you have been seeking fine Malachite pseudomorphs after Azurite from Tsumeb, then this could be for you!
