Beryl var. Morganite
Unknown Owner
An off-matrix, part tabular crystal of pale coral pink Morganite, the pink variety of Beryl. From the Urucum claim in Galiléia in Minas Gerais, Brazil, this crystal admittedly has a lot of damage, but, what a spectacular specimen it is! On opposite sides, two of the original six faces are preserved and display wonderful stepped growth structures. Internally the crystal is water-clear and is almost completely gemmy. One face is shot through with black acicular Tourmaline. An unusual and fascinating specimen which will make a great addition to any collection of Brazilian, Beryl or silicate suites.
