Bright, glassy, crystals of Smoky Quartz form like a 'mountain' rising up from a bed of razor-sharp Specular Hematite crystals. The crystals of Quartz measure up to 29 mm and are well-formed hexagonal pyramids with some prism face formation. A terrific specimen of this classic assemblage from the Iron mining area of Cleator Moor, Cumbria.
