Fluorite
This exceptionally fine Fluorite specimen is one of the best collected from a cavity in the 295 Level, Greencleugh Vein, Frazers Hush mine, Rookhope, Cumbria. Collected pre-1991, the sharply formed twinned crystals of Fluorite reach a very impressive 5.7 cm on edge and display an oblong aspect to them, one crystal showing stepped growth. The crystals are a translucent purple with lustrous faces. A white crystallized Quartz matrix admirably supports the crystals of Fluorite. A rare, and extremely fine specimen from this very specific occurrence on Greencleugh Vein. Ex David Green Collection.
