Tucson, Arizona, USALes Farges mine near Ussel, Corrèze, Limousin, France has produced some of the world's best Pyromorphite specimens in a diverse variety of forms and colours. This large miniature specimen displays a sculptural organic-looking form. Composed almost totally of Pyromorphite, the crystals form an intergrown fan-like habit, but with several cavities developed. The dominant colour is a leafy green and the arborescent growths look just like moss. Shades of pale green and cream are seen nearer to the base, or core of the specimen and a few crystals show the development of hoppered terminations. Close inspection of the surfaces reveals amazing forms of crystallization and individual crystal growths can be seen to reach over 1.5 cm in length. A very fine example of the green form of Pyromorphite from Les Farges mine.
