Two intergrown tetrahedral crystals of Tetrahedrite create the feature of this specimen. The Tetrahedrite crystals measure to 1.6cm on edge. They have a thin casing of Chalcopyrite which partly covers them. Also to be seen on the specimen are three pearly white intergrown groups of Dolomite crystals. These have grown on the lustrous matrix bed of light tan saddle shaped Siderite crystals scattered with Chalcopyrite micro-crystals. A fabulously aesthetic miniature from the Clausthal-Zellerfeld mining area in Germany.
