A fine specimen of Pyromorphite from the MMM mine at Broken Hill in Queensland, Australia. This mine was formed in 1887 to control Blocks 15 and 16, with operations extending to both sides of the Menindee Road. A lustrous, fan-like array of Pyromorphite crystals display a purple tinge to the varied shades of brown individual crystals which measure to 2.9 cm, with many of these displaying divergent multiple crystal terminations. This is a fabulous cabinet specimen of Pyromorphite viewed from both front and back and will grace any Broken Hill collection!
