Malachite
A small, mammillary mass of light, turquoise-peppermint green Malachite with a whitish-green surface. This specimen is known to come from Cornwall, but there is no further locality information. A very beautifully written old label accompanies this small miniature, which was purchased from dealers Dr F. Krantz of Bonn, at the 1997 Munich Show. The accompanying modern label notes 'one of a number of small specimens with similar labels in the cabinets of the Groom-Napier Collection at Krantz. However, the beautiful hand-writing is not that of Charles Groom-Napier (1839-1895?)'.
