Tucson, Arizona, USAThis excellent large miniature cluster of deep midnight blue Azurite crystals is from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia, over which are dotted rich clusters of micro-crystalline dark grey Cerussite. The Azurite forms good prisms of up to 3 cm long a which criss-cross one another forming a complex ex. matrix array. The Azurite is generally opaque, but where transmitted light can enter the prism surfaces and thinner edges, flashes of vivid electric azure blue are emitted. A splendid Azurite with attached Cerussite from Tsumeb.
