A aesthetic specimen of Smoky Quartz from the Maderanertal, Switzerland. The sharp prismatic crystals of Quartz are aggregated over a white contrasting Gneiss matrix. The crystals have a pleasing smoky colour, and are transparent with highly reflective faces. The major 4.8cm long crystal is a Dauphin' Law twin. Displays well, with gemmy crystals.
