From the Harz mining area in Lower Saxony, Germany, pale, minty apple green terminated Pyromorphite crystals measuring to 4 mm cover an area of 5.6 x 3.6 cm on a rusty coloured surface layer of Goethite. Beneath this, the matrix is a cellular bladed Quartz pseudomorphing after probable Baryte crystals. The translucent Pyromorphite prisms have a moderate glassy to partly silky lustre and often terminate with a lime green to straw yellow cap.\n
