Description
A terrific and interesting specimen of rich, leafy lime-green Pyromorphite from its type locality at Zschopau in Erzgebirge, Saxony, Germany. Although not recorded with the specimen, it is likely to be from the Heilige Dreifaltigkeit mine. The Pyromorphite forms a vuggy intergrown mass of slightly tapering, long, narrow crystals of up to 1.5 cm in length. A little earthy orange-tan Limonite partly lines the void space adding a nice contract to the Pyromorphite. Some small creamy-white Cerussite crystals can also be seen on the base. A great miniature of Pyromorphite from its type locality.
Known provenanceKnowing where your specimen comes from and who owned it adds to its story and value. Good provenance helps prove it's authentic and preserves important details about its discovery.
