Azurite
A very rare specimen of Azurite from the Pikedaw-Grizedales Veins near Craven in North Yorkshire, England. The specimen comes with two very detailed labels conveying much information, plus a folded sketch map of the locality. A 2 mm thick layer of massive Azurite varying from light to mid azure blue with a matt lustre covers a light grey layer of granular Smithsonite. One label notes it was found in a small cavity in the 'Cave Pearl Passage', 54 m SSW of the entrance shaft into Cavern 44. A very rare location piece.
