A lovely example of a Quartz crystal showing the Dauphin' habit with one greatly enlarged rhombohedral face. The crystal measures 2.8 x 1.4 x 1.3 cm and stands vertically on a small matrix of mixed Quartz and Feldspar with an attached 1.6 cm long Quartz crystal to one side. The large crystal is totally transparent, has lightly frosted termination faces and glassy, mirror-smooth prism faces.
