Tucson, Arizona, USANear-spherical, lustrous bright lime green Pyromorphite forms as intergrown and individual crystals over a characteristic milky Quartz matrix from the famous Roughton Gill area of the Caldbeck Fells in Cumbria, England. The well formed Pyromorphite crystals display a near spherical barrel-like habit measuring to 3 mm and occur in several attractive shades of green, ranging from zingy chartreuse through spring grass-green to milky peppermint. It's a beautiful miniature showing some of the many habits and colours found in the Pyromorphites from across Roughton Gill.
