An outstanding specimen of well-developed blocky crystallised Pyrargyrite from Hodru'a-H'mre in the Bansk' Bystrica Region of Slovakia. The crystals form as intergrown ribbons over a white Quartz veinstone matrix. The Pyrargyrite crystals measure up to 5 mm, often with domed terminations and a very bright metallic grey lustre. Some equant crystals form excellent dodecahedrons which perch amongst the less well crystallised patches. The white Quartz matrix displays a crusty form of deposition with inclusions of Pyrargyrite mixed with metallic brassy Chalcopyrite. An excellent Pyrargyrite specimen from this old European mining area and comes with several labels.
