If you like examples of minerals that do not show their typical form then you might like this specimen. An unusual, smooth botryoidal Pyromorphite from Asprières in France, varying in colour from creamy light yellow to light grey, with edges of the specimen displaying a sequential radial banded structure. There is some damage to a few of the rounded botryoids, but this allows the internal banded to be seen to good effect. In any collection of Pyromorphites this large miniature specimen will certainly catch the eye as it is definitely one of the rarer colours and habits of this highly popular species and from a classic location in France.
