Sharply twinned lustrous crystals of gemmy-translucent Titanite measure to 2 cm from Capelinha in Minas Gerais, Brazil. These perfectly terminated crystals are a delicious translucent lime to pistachio green containing zones of green-tinged lemon. Sitting on a matrix of opaque white Albite, many prismatic crystals of gemmy Epidote richly encrust the specimen, together with an elongated cluster of snow-white Albite crystals to 9 mm across. The mineralisation occurs here in veins originating from the metamorphism of the basic host rocks. A great Titanite from Capelinha in the Jequitinhonha Valley of Minas Gerais, Brazil.
