A fine aesthetic large cabinet specimen displaying rich islands of Pyrargyrite crystals in a snowy bed of crystallised white Calcite from Mexico. Very bright, 2 to 5 mm crystals of metallic maroon to silvery-grey Pyrargyrite contrast superbly against the druse of small scalenohedral Calcite crystals. When held at certain angles some Pyrargyrite crystals produce stunning flashes of characteristic ruby red. This is an excellent example well crystallised Pyrargyrite, a silver sulphosalt, which will look fabulous when displayed. No specific mine has been recorded with this specimen, but it is known to originate from Mexico.
