A beautiful and lustrous rich pink Elbaite with many gemmy areas like looking into water when backlit. Measuring to a fine 7.5cm tall with characteristically vertically striated prism faces, the termination is dominated by two well-developed pyramidal faces and a small tried face with pinacoid, the 'back' of the specimen is pitted where it has been freed from its matrix. An excellent pink Elbaite Tourmaline from the Danburitovaya Pegmatite, Transbaikalia, Russia.
