Classic green gemmy Fluorite from the Heights Mine, Weardale, Co Durham, a mine that has been inaccessible for many years. The specimen we have displays many interpenetrent twinned Fluorite crystals, measuring to 2cm on edge, gemmy with characteristic purple daylight fluorescence. The reverse of the specimen is covered in inter grown green Fluorite crystals mostly in the 3mm region, on a vein of Quartz.
