Cuprian Smithsonite with Cerussite

Unknown Owner
Equant, dodecahedral crystals of Cuprian Smithsonite are richly scattered over a matrix of massive Calcite mixed with an unidentified light apple green copper arsenate, probably Duftite. The Smithsonite forms gemmy pastel peppermint crystals of up to almost 4 mm diameter, mainly occurring as individual crystals scattered over a bed of opaque, snow white Calcite micro-crystals. A few colourless and glassy Cerussite crystals sit in a small vug at on side. A lovely miniature of Cuprian Smithsonite from Tsumeb mine in the Oshikoto Region of Namibia.
