Description
Excellent deep bottle-green crystals of Epidote to 3 cm tall stand on a small plate of Quartz matrix from the Arandis area close to Swakopmund on the Atlantic coast of Namibia. The Epidote crystals are fully terminated with ragged, hackly tops. In the smaller acicular crystals and at the edges of the larger opaque crystals, the Epidote is rich leaf-green due to incident transmitted light. This lovely specimen is mounted on a square, clear acrylic base.
