Opaque, light biscuit-tan curved blades of Siderite, typically 1 to 1.5 cm wide form an intergrown jumble of sheaves over a plate of milky Quartz-rich matrix. Five colourless, semi-transparent terminated Quartz crystals emerge vertically through the Siderite adding to its overall appeal. A great Siderite from Neudorf in the Harzgerode mining district of Harz, in Saxony-Anhalt, Germany.
