A beautiful gemmy, water-clear crystal of the 'Aquamarine' variety of Beryl, measuring 3.1 cm, with a perfect termination and of a delicate cornflower-blue. The crystal stands almost vertically on a domed mound of snow-white Albite overgrowing a parallel group of horizontal Quartz crystals. From the Shigar Valley in the Skardu District of the Northern Areas of Pakistan, the specimen sits perfectly and displays this superb 'Aquamarine' crystal to full advantage.
