Tucson, Arizona, USAA rare crystallised small cabinet specimen of Tsumebite, forming light peppermint green drusy patches to 2 cm of micro-crystals on a red-brown ferruginous Dolomite matrix. From its type locality at the Tsumeb mine in northern Namibia, Tsumebite is a lead-copper phosphate. The specimen is richly adorned with dark inky blue, well-developed Azurite crystals, some altered to green Malachite. The Azurite forms fine crystals with a bright glassy lustre which tend to lie flat against the matrix. Many specimens of Arsentsumebite have been mislabelled as Tsumebite, the latter being much rarer than the former. Here at Crystal Classics we see very few specimens of Tsumebite from Tsumeb, making this a very seldom seen species. The specimen comes with an old A. Berger label.\n
