Beautiful scattered distinctive crystals of Dioptase on Dolomite from the world class location of the Tsumeb Mine. The Dioptase crystals measure to 1.5cm, and are artistically clustered along a raised ridge in a shallow convex cavity in a Dolomite matrix. The Dioptase crystals have an bright vitreous luster with a fine green colour, with some crystals displaying internal neon like green reflections. Many of the larger crystals show faint striation on the prism faces. A few of the Dioptase crystals are partly covered by a second phase of micro Dolomite crystals with another integral growth of micro Diptase crystals. A fine display specimen of Dioptase from Tsumeb.
