A beautiful large miniature Fluorite on Quartz from the Yaogangxian mine in Hunan Province, China, which works a tungsten-tin deposit in the contact aureole of the Mesozoic Yaogangxian composite pluton. Intensely colour-zoned cubic Fluorite crystals to 1.2 cm on edge are aesthetically distributed over a matrix of crystallised white milky Quartz. The Fluorite is zoned in shades of purple, lilac, lavender and sky blue with many individual crystals containing at least twenty nested colour-zoned layers. A delightful miniature colour-zoned transparent Fluorite from Yaogangxian mine.
