Dioptase with Cerussite and Wulfenite
Large areas of the creamy matrix are covered in a rich druse of sparkling, bluish-green acicular Dioptase crystals with rare scattered crystals of orange Wulfenite, colourless glassy Cerussite crystals and brownish to dark olive green micro-crystals of Mottramite, from the Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine at Tiger in the Mammoth District of Arizona. The Dioptase, a copper silicate, forms beautiful gemmy acicular sprays which merge to create a rich carpet over the contrasting matrix. A terrific cabinet specimen displaying four mineral species from the famous Mammoth-Saint Anthony mine.
