A splendid, complexly modified Fluorite crystal of teal blue with a mauve core from Chongyi County in Ganzhou Prefecture, China. The crystal is built from stacked miniature cubic crystals which form two pyramidal faces at ninety degrees to one another. A cluster of colourless Quartz crystals is attached at one side; these, as well as the under-surface of the Fluorite, are partly coated with micro rosettes of mica. A showy and wonderfully coloured Fluorite from China of remarkable translucency verging on gemmy.
