A matrix of Muscovite and Quartz is richly coated with sparkling pale blue Apatite crystals which interlock to form a pleasing arrangement. The two dominant Apatite crystals measure 17mm and 15mm, and exhibit colour zonation, with deeper blue centres, whilst the other crystals are c. 8mm. Damage is limited to the periphery - a notable Panasqueira Apatite example from The Academy collection - likely mined in the 1960s or 1970s.
