Description
A magnificent cubic Cuprite crystal measuring 8 x 8 x 7 mm nestled with other well formed but smaller crystals of Cuprite is a massive Cuprite matrix. From the classic locality of Wheal Phoenix by the village of Minions at Linkinhorne, Cornwall, the Cuprite crystals have a highly reflective metallic lustre and in transmitted light flash rich Burgundy-red. The main crystal has small modifications to its corners showing tiny octahedral faces whereas the smaller crystals are octahedral with small cubic faces present. A terrific beautifully crystallised Cuprite from Wheal Phoenix.
