Quartz var. GWINDEL with Anatase
Unknown Owner
We tend to associate Gwindel Quartz with the Alps and the European Alpine countries, but this wonderful specimen with included Anatase is a Russian example, from Puiva Mount in Western-Siberia. A stack of mildly smoky, double-terminated Quartz crystals gradually increase in length from 5.5 cm to almost 9 cm and successively rotate about their central common axis. All the Quartz crystals are semi-transparent, sometimes allowing individual letters of printed text to be read looking through the crystals, but certainly always showing individual if somewhat blurred words. All crystals are well terminated, and all those along one side encapsulate perfect metallic grey Anatase crystals and wispy filaments.
