Tucson, Arizona, USAA delightful large thumbnail cluster of gemmy pinkish-apricot orange Grossular Garnets on a tiny and hidden matrix from the classic Canadian locality of Jeffrey mine at Asbestos in Québec. The largest crystal is an equant 1.4 cm, is well developed and of beautiful colour. As a point of interest, the town of Asbestos was renamed Val-des-Sources in October 2020, due to the adverse implications of the name Asbestos. However, when labelling mineral specimens, it is best practice to give the locality name as of when the specimen was collected. A lovely example of Grossular Garnet from Jeffrey mine.
