PYROMORPHYTE
A substantial large cabinet specimen of Pyromorphite from the Quartz pipe in the shallow adit at Bwlch Glas mine near Talybont in Ceredigion, Wales, likely to have been collected in the late 1960s or early 1970s. Grass-green acicular crystals of Pyromorphite, to 5 mm in length, cover 90% of the display face of the Quartz matrix. Unusually for Pyromorphite, specimens from Bwlch Glas mine are instantly recognizable. This is undoubtedly one of the larger specimens collected from the pipe, but is in remarkably fine condition. A true Welsh classic.
