Cerussite
A rich miniature of jackstraw and intergrown platy crystals of Cerussite from the Leadhills mining district in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. Milky white, lustrous Cerussite crystals up to 1.5 cm long have formed on a mixture of black Goethite with Cerussite. A characteristic and good representative example of Cerussite from the Leadhills mining district. South Lanarkshire is the modern county name, so I would suggest it should be labelled with the county name at the time this specimen was mined, simply as Lanarkshire.
