Quartz with Fluorapatite$300.00

Wire transfers available, to set up
An interesting and rather historic specimen of good hexagonal Fluorapatite crystals stacked across two prism faces of a translucent-grey Quartz crystal with somewhat crude, but clearly visible, double terminations. The specimen is from the spectacular Greifenstein Rocks at Ehrenfriedersdorf in Saxony, Germany, where columns of weathered granite tower above the forest canopy. This area is now a National Park where collecting is strictly forbidden. The Fluorapatite forms crystals to 1 cm across which show colour zoning from near-opaque pale lilac-fawn prism edges to translucent fawn centres.
