Calcite with Pyrite
Unknown Owner
A lovely Calcite from the P?'bram District in the Czech Republic formed from milky-white, small, highly flattened rhombohedral crystals of 3 to 5 mm which form a vuggy, cavernous mound. The reverse side is concave and richly coated with tiny Pyrite crystals of about 0.2 mm and of the pyritohedral habit. Although this side more naturally forms the base (also implied by where the labels are glued on), it is quite beautiful and probably the best side to display.
