Cerussite
Well formed bladed crystals of Cerussite adorn the display face of this specimen from the Bunker Hill mine in Idaho, USA. The crystals of Cerussite measure to 1.8 cm, range from creamy to colourless and gemmy and sit on a naturally etched, light creamy-white matrix. All the crystals are well terminated and occur as both single and V-twinned pairs. Collectors are more than familiar with Bunker Hill Pyromorphite, but a well crystallised Cerussite is quite another matter! What a delightful addition this would make, complimenting one or more Pyromorphites from this famous mine. One of the accompanying labels (Silver Capital Arts) gives the precise location as '9 level, Jersey vein, 090-23-21 stope, f1.4, Bunker Hill mine, Kellogg, Idaho'. A fantastic and extremely rarely seen specimen.
