A 2.8 cm long Quartz crystal, partly sceptred against a small and attractive matrix of micro-crystalline Quartz. From the Chiredzi mining district in Masvingo Province, Zimbabwe, an area also known as the Hartley mining district. The Amethyst colouration occurs as wisps and is scattered throughout the crystals as an intense violet to deep blackberry cloud towards its upper termination.
