A fine small cabinet specimen of crystalline, botryoidal rich salmon pink Rhodochrosite almost completely covering a black matrix of micro-crystals of Manganite with dark reddish-brown Hematite. The edges of the specimen display excellent zoning of the Rhodochrosite, from pastel pink to mid-pink with an overall bright lustre. A superb specimen from the N'Chwaning Mines in the Kalahari Manganese Fields of Northern Cape Province, South Africa.
