This cabinet-sized specimen displays brilliant lustrous waxy yellow-orange crystals of Pyromorphite richly coating a flattish plate of drusy crystalline Quartz rather than the usual Baryte. The Pyromorphite crystals reach up to 5 mm and display a simple straight-sided hexagonal prism form, compared with the often heavily elongated and curved seed-like crystal forms more commonly seen at Les Farges mine. The Pyromorphite crystals have a very bright lustre, making for a fine display specimen with great colour and sparkle. From a highly regarded French collector.
