Augelite

A choice small miniature of two well-formed bladed Augelite crystals forming a V-configuration from the Estaño Orcko mine in the Machacamarca District of Bolivia. The Augelite crystals measure to 2.7 cm and are colourless to white with light orange iron staining in some areas. The Augelite crystals, an aluminium phosphate, sit on a small matrix of drusy brown Siderite crystals. A beautifully crystallized example of this rare phosphate.
