Pyromorphite
This classic specimen of vivid orange globular to botryoidal crystallized Pyromorphite needs little introduction, but is of course from the famous discovery at Bunker Hill mine, Idaho, USA. In some respects these orange Pyromorphites look visually similar to the Campylite variety of Mimetite from Dry Gill in the Caldbeck Fells but with their colour and lustre on steroids. Scintillatingly lustrous, bright orange Pyromorphite covers the display face of this miniature-sized specimen. Around the back, light tan coloured crystals of Pyromorphite are seen on the sides and back of the specimen, on a light brown Goethite matrix. This might be a smaller Bunker Hill piece, but as is abundantly clear, this is in the highest echelon in quality for both intensity of colour and lustre and simply glows.
