A classic rarity from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia, of Cerussite included with Chalcotrichite, the finely acicular variety of Cuprite. An excellent thumbnail cluster of intense orange red, translucent Cerussite crystals measuring overall to 3 cm, with colourless to white rhombic Calcite and further areas of white Cerussite. As was the nature of these rare specimens, the Chalcotrichite is so finely disseminated within the Cerussite, no structural trace can be seen at low magnification, only the vivid pigmentation. This delightful miniature is made complete with a light dusting of hair-like acicular sprays of peppermint green Malachite. A superb example of this rare combination from Tsumeb.
