Description
This miniature of the silver antimonide Dyscrasite, forms a coral-like array of branching thick stems of a strange, slightly pinkish golden-silver. This specimen is from the Bouismas mine in Ouarzazate Province, Morocco, which operated for only two years between 2008 and 2010, exploiting a vein rich in silver within the Bou Azzer Mining District. The crude crystals form fronds to 1 cm wide, tapering toward their base. A good example of this rather rare silver species.
Known provenanceKnowing where your specimen comes from and who owned it adds to its story and value. Good provenance helps prove it's authentic and preserves important details about its discovery.
